15. “Summer Day in Luby Bay" by Tom Wakeley

“Summer Day in Luby Bay” is an original 16x20 framed contemporary impressionist painting by Tom Wakeley of Spokane. The mood created on the beach at Hill’s is timeless, depicting a group of sunbathers enjoying Priest Lake summer delights. Many of Wakeley’s impressionist paintings are done plein aire, or painted on site, which enables him to capture the unique lights of a particular time of day with spontaneity and lively interpretation of his subjects. Tom says that ultimately, for him, the subject is always secondary to the effects of paint and light itself.

This wonderful painting may be viewed before the auction at the Entree Gallery in Nordman, where Tom Wakeley’s showing entitled “Paint and Light” is featured during the month of May. There is a reception for him at the Entrée Gallery on Sunday, May 29th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., and all are welcome to attend.

16. Repair, Remodel, Garden, Clean Up, Drink, Golf

Whether you are a weekend gardener/repairperson or involved in full-time landscape and remodeling plans, just think of what you can accomplish with a pick, a wheelbarrow and a leaf rake as well as a rock rake; dig up dirt with a round shovel and pile it up on a square shovel. Put on a new pair of garden gloves and use the box of clean-up bags to toss out your garden waste. Use your imagination for remodeling and repairs with a 24’ extension ladder, a gas can, a large tarp, and a DeWalt 1⁄2” cordless drill. Then sip on a case of beer as you study your projects, and go put to good use the dozen golf balls included in this package - just in case the project can wait!
